Whole Frozen Chicken, no giblets. This is a deposit for a chicken that will be ready to pick up at the Cedar Falls Farmers Market in October. You can also have the birds delivered to your doorstep (after Oct 1) for a $10 delivery fee.

$5 deposit per bird. Balance at $4.99/lb. due at time of pick up or before delivery.

The chickens that we raise for meat are Cornish Cross, and are raised fully outdoors as soon as they are old enough. We raise them on the pasture in between our rows of apple trees, where they are housed in pasture shelters or “chicken tractors” that we move to fresh ground every single morning. This rotational grazing both provides the chickens with fresh forage and insects to eat and improves the health of the orchard pasture. They are fed a locally grown and milled non-GMO feed.

Please note:

• This is just a deposit. You will still owe the balance at $4.99/lb. when you receive your chicken.

• We will try to accommodate your size preference, but we do not know exactly how big the finished birds will be, so you may get chickens that are a bit smaller or larger than you requested.
